How far can I fly a drone down a stairwell before being stopped by a door? Does any such door have a glass pane in it to look through?

Voice sets a drone on the ground and then starts piloting it using its camera from the comfort of the couch. He'll see how high each (2 at each end of the hall) stairwell goes, how low each stairwell goes, and what each of them connect to: I asumming we're in a big stack of like 10 floors of apartments, but there should be that laundromat somewhere, and even if the stacks next to us are just more stacks of apartments, that would be useful information.
