"Like any place is going to be safe safe anyway.
I guess no reason not to keep them to arm someone, they hit mildly harder than harsh language. But hopefully we can sell them for something we really want. Maybe we can get barbed wire, or caltrops or land mines for our next place if we think that were going to face yet more home invaders? Or can anyone make old skool traps like tiger pits and such?' |

Jack looks at the group, then points to the ceiling
“Metal”. Points to the wall. “Metal” Points to the floor. “Metal”. He shakes his head. “We are in an archeology. This is a man made place, designed to house a lot of people. Digging traps, barbed wire and such is right out. Security in this place is what we make it. I can get us into some of the back ways, but even there, other people are around.” “We need some kind of decision. And Papa and I need to sleep.” |

"Why can't we do barbed wire and land mines if we can find any?
Maybe caltrops. We need to try to sell the guns anyway" |

Jack sighs.
“How are you going to attach the barbed wire? Where are you going to GET barbed wire? Usually around for keeping animals in place… the walls here tend to do that.” He shrugs. “Admittedly, I could probably solder the ends of the wire to the wall, but the makes it difficult for anybody, specifically including US to get in and out.” “And Land mines are usually buried. Hard to do in a metal floor. And, again, where are you going to get a land mine? I might could make some, but I don’t plan to. Land mines in an enclosed space like this are pretty dangerous.” He yawns. “And if you are going to go sell the guns now, have a good trip. I’m tired, Papa is tired, we both need to sleep.” |

(OC: players may act individually of each other, simply declare what you’ll be doing - “rest for X hours” for example - and we’ll play it out simultaneously after everyone’s confirmed their course of action.)

Jack looks the group over.
“I’m going to bed down for the night. That being said, I do think it makes sense to keep watch. Papa is not in that list… he’s not seeing too good any more… but I’m up for keeping a shift.” He picks up his shotgun and puts it on the table in front of him. “If anybody decides to go out and sell guns or something, I pretty strongly suggest you knock and announce yourself before just barging in when you get back. My idea of a wake up call to everybody else is this (he pats the shotgun). (OOC – I’ll take whatever watch works – randomize/whatever) (And I make sure that Papa beds down as far from the door as I can get him). |
