World average wealth, at the very least, has gone through the roof. My father lived in Brazil for a few years in the early 1980's, and when he went back in about 2010 he talked about how radically things had changed for the better in terms of material wealth. And this can be seen all around the world.

But the granularity is kind of humorous. Of course we won't all have 50% more stuff next year.

Or will we?
