Default Re: Possible Destination for an interstellar cruise ship?

What if the ship is part of the destination? Imagine a famously lost/destroyed ship that was restored and refurbished as a cruise liner (for instance if someone raised and restored the Titanic). As for where to go, imagine a number of historic ruins that have been "restored"(and are defiantly NOT tourist traps) with "real" natives. Depending on the tech the "natives" could be hired locals or robots. Since this is for tourists the ship and ruins history has been mostly sanitized, maybe not completely depending on the ruin-a restored Coliseum where you can watch or even participate in the events. The ship mostly caters to rich idiots who want to see how ancient cultures "really lived".
Ideas: The ship is being used by certain passengers to smuggle artifacts. The locals are protesting the desecration of their heritage. The PC's work for an archaeologist on board and are sent to retrieve relics from other sites on the same planet as the tourist destination. The robots are malfunctioning and the PC's must save themselves and the other passengers.
For an interesting twist let the PC's be the rich idiots. They can see the sights and get involved in some of the adventure ideas, except instead of battle tested adventures you have a group bumbling their way through a real dungeon because they got lost from the tour group. This could be played as a comedic mini campaign or the start of their adventuring careers.
