I see no reason why the question of whether wizardry is hereditary or not has any bearing on whether wizards know they are vastly superior to normal scum.

Sure lots of people believe they are genetically or racially superior, but there is no shortage of people who have earned their skills and feel superior as a result - arguably with more justification!

Right and everyone knows the only truly superior heritage is being born a goblin anyway.
