The Magitek Armor Racial Template totals 81 points, not 91.

For the Burning Attack, I don't know if it's because I'm rounding the +3 incorrectly (going by memory) but I get 59 points, not 60. I'm assuming 7d+3 is (7.75 x 5 =) 39 points, +150% in modifiers gives (58.5, rounded to) 59.

In total it's therefore worth (81 + 59 =) 140 points.

So at your listed $432/point, that's $60,480 as its base retail price.

As you mentioned, you'd then multiply by rarity (x2) and TL factors (x4), so fair retail price for the setting would be ($60,480 x 2 x 4 =) $483,840.
Not at all! I threw this together really fast this morning while trying to get centered. I've edited it above.

Hmmm. Cost might be off a bit: For the TL, it's $60/point. So 60 x 0.9 (BCM) = $54/point. There are no modifiers so now it's $54 x 2 (rarity) = $108/point. Now we multiply for TL: $108/point x 4 = $432/point. So that's right - it was the point value that was off.

Putting aside the math-proofing, it's great to finally see the end product of all of the work, and examples of the really cool stuff you can build with it.

I'm so looking forward to its release. It's another great title to your name, Christopher. Kudos.

Thanks. I really hope it sells well. Y'all were the best in that playtest. I was telling Sean that it's probably my personal top playtest ever and in the top three I've ever been in. Y'all made this book so much better and easier to use.

I know its goddamn late but I swear to God I’m starting to feel like I can at last do my Gantz suit with this Meta-Tech book.

Spent weeks trying to do it, days in the discord asking questions and being suggested a lot of things that weren’t quite what I wanted and almost gave up on GURPS entirely before setting with a specific Nanoware from UT that while not similar to the original suit I wanted was the best I could find.

I am not completely sure, but if it does enables me to have the GANTZ stuff added, suits and weapons, I might need to run a second season of my Death Palace campaign with some new folks. Now is time to see.

It it can be defined within the framework of the GURPS character creation system as a power it can be redefined as gear using GURPS Meta-Tech.

One thing that may not be obvious is this: Once you define an item fully...you don't need the GURPS Meta-Tech stat-block anymore. You can just write it up as normal gear in GURPS.

This is an example from my upcoming aetherpunk fantasy campaign "Aersalus."

Skiddy-Skaddy (TL3+1^)
Size: SM -6.
Type: Pharmaceutical (Grenade).
Origin: Kymetic Elixir (0 BCM).
Operating Skill: Throwing.
Cost: $4,116.
Weight: 0.8 lbs.

This grenade when thrown it shatters on striking DR 3+, such as armor (affects wearer), a shield (affects shield), or the ground (area effects, if any, only). Otherwise, the thrower must do enough damage equal to its HP+DR or it doesn’t break. It has the following statistics: Acc 0, Range STx2, and Bulk -2. This affects a 4-yard area. Anyone entering it must make a DX-5 roll; failure results in their Move over the affected area being 1/5 normal or suffering the Total Klutz disadvantage (p. B00). Failure by 5 or more (or critical failure) means they fall prone and suffer -4 to DX rolls until they scrub themselves off with hot water, soap, etc. Each hex of movement requires another DX-5 with any failure counting as a critical failure. This effect lasts for 4d+1 hours.

Meta-Tech Statistics (+$4,116; 343 points at $12/point): Affliction 6 (DX-5; Area Effect, 4 yards, +100%; Attribute Penalty, -4 DX (Accessibility, Only those who fell prone in affected area, -30%; Non-Environmental, +10%), +32%; Based on DX, +20%; Disadvantage, Total Klutz or Slower Move, x0.2, +53%; Environmental, Must be touching affected surface, -10%; Extended Duration, 300Ą, Slow Move/Total Klutz +80%; Extended Duration, DX Penalty, Permanent, Until cleaned up, +150%; Fixed Duration, -0%; Persistent, +40%; Secondary Disadvantage, Lame, +6%) [343]. Has the One-Use modifier (x1/5) and a common rarity (x0.2).
Mundane Statistics (+$3, +1 lbs.): Small Bottle ($2, 0.5 lb.)

Normal from what you've seen so far, right? This is how the entry appears in my setting bible:

I'd make a note of its HP & DR to speed up play.

Oh, that's in a separate section 'cause it's boilerplate. I just didn't copy it here. ^_^

Death’s Reaper (TL3^)
Size: SM -4.
Type: Melee Weapon.
Origin: Cosmic (+3.5 BCM).
Cost: $5,626,845.
Weight: 10.5 lbs.

The weapon of death itself (see GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 6: 40 Artifacts, p. 11) – see that book for the effects of this weapon.

Meta-Tech Statistics (+$5,625,000; 20 points at $281,250/point): Blessed (Blood for Blood) [15*] + Blessed (Deathbringer) (Accessibility, Death’s Reaper Only, -80%) [4†] + Rules Exemption (Breakage, but not against other Cosmic things) [1]. Has the modifier Self-Powered (+4 CF). This item is cosmic and therefore 100Ą cost (see Scaling Costs for Item Ubiquity, GURPS Meta-Tech, p. 00); there are maybe a handful of them in the entire setting!
Mundane Statistics (+$1,845, +10.5 lbs.): Very Fine Oversized Shortsword with special grips ($1,845, 2 lbs.).
* “Blood for Blood” is effectively Extra Option (Godlike Extra Effort for Mighty Blows) (Cosmic, +400%) [5] + Extra Option (Mighty Blows) (Cosmic, Bonus applied to penetrating damage, +900%) [10].
† “Deathbringer” is effectively an Unusual Background allowing for a different critical hit table to be used when any critical hit is rolled.

Decided to convert a artifact (which is about as "I designed this by vibes" as you can get in GURPS 4/e) over to a meta-tech device. There was a little squinching involved, but I think that turned out just fine.
