It sounds really good. It will be my first purchase after Vehicles 4e.

I had tried to use Metatronic Generators to make crystals for your force sword that enhance either the blade or your powers prior to this--now there'll be rules for them.
There absolutely will be. :-)

That sounds awesome. So awesome in fact I went LOOKING for it, couldn't find it, got annoyed, came back here to ask for a link, realized I misread it, then had a shame. And yes, it definitely could. One day I'll write a article/book about my most hated of foes: The Tech Tree. Gawd I hate doing a tech tree for a campaign setting.

Since I don't really have much more than the idea in any format that would be useful to share, I'll just cross-quote myself from the "Ideas are Easy" thread (which, conveniently, has a link to the campaign synopsis that inspired the idea to begin with).

* Or so they claim.

Is this a polite expression of disinterest, or have I missed a very important announcement?

I was thinking more along the lines of how Powers (and Powers: Enhanced Senses) included a lot of modifiers for existing Advantages for further tweaking them, not the more complicated bits (although certainly one could make use of those with MTD's if so desired).

Sounds like lamentations about the lack of VDS, and probably counterproductive at that - I suspect a strong showing from Meta-Tech might make TPTB more inclined to risk further work on VDS, as there's significant overlap between those who would be interested in both... although I further suspect the audience for Meta-Tech will be larger than that for a theoretical VDS, as a) it's likely to cost a good deal less than VDS would need to (the latter would be long and rather dense, meaning it would cost a lot more to produce and thus would need to pass that on to the consumer to be solvent) and b) it has far less of the intimidating crunch that would make VDS a risky investment (as Christopher Rice has indicated, most of the process is no different from building abilities - or picking them from a premade list - and modifying the quality of gear).

No, you haven't. He's trolling. Please ignore him. Let's concentrate on this new book being released!

Again. Let's chitty chat about Meta-Tech and not derail the thread. I got plenty of more stuff in my pocket to share with folks before the release!

Ahhh. Yes. It does expand those options quite a bit in the name of helping along the creation of items. For example, it has rules for adding Bulk of minimum ST, and much more.
