I think it's fair to say her residuals and financial accounts amount to Independent Income 1, with most of her actual income coming from working her job of being a writer. Assuming she has Writing-14 or thereabouts, she almost always makes her job roll, and as an independent worker, her income varies.

Even if someone is living off royalties, unless you want to fall of the face of the Earth, writing still involves "work," even if it's just con appearances and the occasional magazine interview.
