Default rules for big items and not paying attention

three questions here:

1.
what happens if you trade a big item with a player that already has a big item?
Is the trade negated because they cannot carry two or do they have to resolve the too many big items rule because they were not paying attention.

2.
What happens when you play a big item but already had one in play and you were not paying attention? Can you pick up the big item that you just put down? or do you then have to resolve the too many big items?

3.
When resolving the too many big items and you try to give a big item to the player with the lowest level, if they do not want it can they refuse to take it?

You are getting into the realm of House Rules here, but generally, if something happens accidently, like when a player is not paying attention, you can try to rewind the event -- in #1 the trade would be reversed and in #2 you would put the card back into your hand as if you didn't play it.

In #3, I am assuming you legally carried multiple Big items and lost the ability, such as discarding a Dwarf race. In that case, if the other player can legally take it, then they have to.

is this the official ruling? I think this issue must have been brought up in tournament. Almost every game I play somebody puts down a big item when they already have one on the table by accident. how is it handled? are they forced to sell or give away big item? I thought cards played cant be picked back up?

also a similar issue can up while trading. a trade happened where a player traded for a two handed weapon while currently being cursed with tiny hands. Is trade reversed because they cant carry 2 handed weapons or do they drop because of the curse?

the third question the example is if you already have a big item like the 2 handed big rock and you play a second big item and try to get rid of the rock. can the player without the big item refuse to accept the rock forcing you to keep it as your big item?

Tournaments have judges who aren't part of the game, so they can be impartial. Tournament rules shouldn't be used for casual games with friends.

Cards played can't be picked back up, but in this case the card couldn't have been played in the first place. If it's truly accidental, rewinding it is probably the easiest way to fix it. If you truly can't rewind it (because it was a long time ago, and it would change too much of the current game state), it's up to the table to decide how to handle it. They can sell it immediately if there are 1000 or more gp worth of items, or you might decide the card would've been given as charity to another player....

If it was in my game, I would just reverse the trade...

You can't play the second Big Item if you already have one, you have to sell it or trade first.
