How is Underground Adventures under a 'niche line'? As far as I can see it's not part of any particular line.

"Uses Guns" isn't exactly a niche line either.

It cuts out, at minimum, the Dungeon Fantasy crowd, which SJGames seems to believe is a significant market, along with a good deal of historical and fantasy gaming. Moreover, the original Tactical Shooting focused on realistic (or at least gritty) and hyperdetailed rules, which might lead players of a more cinematic/faster paced style to conclude that the line isn't for them. All of the above could in fact get good use out of large portions of the book, which at times reads like a general GURPS:Extreme Conditions shoved into the Tactical Shooting line (and I mean that as nothing but a compliment).

Why do you even believe there is such a thing as a "Tactical Shooting" line? This would be only the 2nd book.

As I mention on my blog, the broad appeal was not lost on me, but sometimes (or rather, I suspect, usually) books aren't planned, but just happen. The idea for this project came to me one day, I started writing it as a Pyramid article, then expanded, then lost track of it, then wrote most of the book, then a lot of life happened, then I finally finished it as a more coherent, complete work.
So, yes, I think this offers far more than just some shooting tips and rules. Given its pricetag, most people should be able to include it in their library and, even if they prefer swords over submachine guns, still get their money's worth. Cheers HANS

There's a DF outdoors adventures book. I sometimes get the underground one mixed in with that one.
