Following some recent activity in this thread to discuss past topics, I should probably attend to the thread's main function as well: an updating of what's new on the site.

The following may look like pretty ambitious output, but that's two and a quarter years of additions since the last update here. (Like everyone, I get to blame slowness on the pandemic.)

New resources

GURPS/DFRPG resource: New technique-based advantages: As in, techniques bought to max level, as quickie advantages. I like these.
GURPS resource: ST Monster Table: One table with all the ST-related stuff. Too much stuff.
STROLL: ST rolls that work in GURPS: A dead-simple way to make all ST-based rolls, Contests, and skills work properly. Of everything listed here, I'd say this is the most immediately useful tool for any GM.

Stuff for fantasy thieves

A mini review: GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Denizens: Thieves: Not-quite-a-spoiler: If you play DF with thieves, you'll get use from this book.
Dumping out the loot sack: More rules and tools for GURPS Dungeon Fantasy thieves: Some ready-to-use stuff, some unfinished ideas. Rifle through it to nick whatever looks valuable.

New musings and experiments

Game design musing: Swing vs thrust damage: What’s the difference? (GURPS): No silly "you should do this" prescriptions, just a look at how much the two damage stats actually differ, with and without weapons in hand.
Game design musing: Simplifying ST-based thrust and swing damage (GURPS): Simplify ST-based dam to a single stat; build the thr-vs-sw damage difference entirely into the weapon instead. Good idea or bad? How would it work at the table?
Game design musing: Easiest-ever, zero-math “weight-to-power” factor for characters (GURPS): In which I make no suggestion that you should want such a thing - but if you do, there's a ridiculously easy way of setting it, just lying there out in the open.
Game design musing: Notes on ST in GURPS: Nothing exciting, just thoughts on what sort of Contests work best with ST, how ST differs from other attributes, stuff like that.
Twelve big pages of “Daily Houserule tweets” collecting a year’s worth of Twitter entries on GURPS and DFRPG. 365 small rules bits, new traits, new kit, GM tips of dubious value, purported simplifications, more.

Miscellaneous arcana

Unasked-for silliness: Some gaming “humor”: Yes, those are scare quotes.
What’s interesting about roleplaying games: A few things about the hobby that have long impressed me.

Updates

Update to new damage for ST: If you, too, like experimenting with "smooth damage progression" stuff, here's cleaned-up text and a prettier table.
Update to alternate cost progression for ST: Again, cleaned up text and lovelier tables.
Update to rules for grazes: An oldie-but-goodie. Cleaned-up text and a simpler basic rule for gaming grazing attacks (plus notes on other ways to game these).
Lots more new weapons and related notes, more DFRPG Q&A, many more new techniques, several new Talents, and more wishes for books and stuff.
Many more updates in general, all listed here.

New sidebar features

A list of recent content edits
A lo-o-o-ong RSS blogroll of what's new on other GURPS-adjacent sites (let me know of more sites I should add)
A fair-sized list of GURPS links

Sidebar features no more

No more @gamesdiner Twitter feed embed; it stopped working. (Gotta pay "X" to embed, I think?)

There, that should hold the non-discriminating reader for a year or two!

Immediately after posting the above, the site went dark for a few hours as the hosting service's scheduled maintenance went into unscheduled overtime.

Looks like they fixed the problem, and the site is once again ready for the... dozens of visitors that every day throng a backwater site fixated on a lower-visibility game within a niche hobby. Come be one of the minuscule horde!

I have your site bookmarked (not quite as useful a metric as you'd like I suppose) and a trawl it once every year or so looking for interesting stuff...

... that expanded Thieve's stuff article looks interesting.
