Wow...You just had to go there, didn't you? Just being around proots are bad enough (or comical enough according to your perspective). But, this is a fate worse worse than death for a wizard.

Do Prootwaddles know they are stupid? Or are they convinced they've discovered important magical principles and that the method they are using to hunt sheep droppings will be copied by great woodsmen once the rest of the world catches up? How many stupid people have you come across that know they're stupid? Knowing that you aren't smart isn't an acknowledgment of being stupid.

Magus Megalomania:
(MM) Wizard has an obsession with the exercise of magical power, especially in the domination of others.

Note: I use the term Afflicted to describe an episode of the MM.

• Once a day, the wizard who has Magus Megalomania needs to roll an IQ Will roll. If he passes, he acts normally for the day.
• If he fails, he knows that he is at risk of triggering this syndrome for the day (being afflicted). This syndrome causes the wizard to compulsively spellcast until he is exhausted.

Once the first spell of the day for the afflicted wizard is cast, the afflicted must roll 3 dice vs. IQ with failure forcing the casting another spell of any type (at a target of his choosing). After casting five spells that day (whether by his own will or compelled), he must roll 4 dice vs. IQ to control his affliction or he must cast another spell.

Once the afflicted wizard reaches ST = 0, he falls unconscious. This will reset his MM for the day, but he is still afflicted and risks continuing the MM spiral.
A full 8 hours sleep completely resets the Magus Megalomania.

Those wizards with MM often have a need for the Drain Strength spell or Powerstone.

How a wizard gets Magus Megalomania is unknown (GM fills in the reason). What is described here is the lesser affliction. There is a greater affliction with even worse consequences.
