You aren't using enough trolls.
Want trolls to be super scary? Use enough that the first ones who fall are getting back up as the next wave falls, and so on.
This won't work on groups that came
prepared for Trolls (alchemist fire flasks, fire wizard, etc), but it works beautifully on groups that
just manage to out damage the unarmored Trolls, but can't deal with them quickly enough to be decisive.
