Even at 6, this is seriously troublesome – you can roam around berserk, looking for more people to attack, for quite some time.

Sounds like a malfunctioning robot from a 1980s movie (not a specific one, but there was a genre that got more popular after Terminator came out, and mostly made forgettable films). Could make for an interesting game, where the objective is to survive the securitybots in the mall after the computer was hit by lightning, or to shut down and recapture the very expensive military prototype before it kills anyone, or gets out of Area 51 and is seen by civilians.
