I like it because you get exactly the vehicle you want, you know its layout, and you know all of its capabilities.

But, given how phobic people get about arithmetic (doing cube-roots, especially with a calculator, doesn't even really qualify as "mathematics"), I completely understand the decision to go with something simpler.

On one hand, yes, but on the other, I don't find Spaceships simpler; quite the contrary.

(There was a time when I wanted to do some vehicle design, but I had mislaid my calculator. So I got out a slide rule and used that for the cube roots . . .)

I just used the calculator on the computer, since I put all the setting notes in my documents folder, anyway. :)
