Wandering Monster + Help

Hello, I recently played munchkin with some friends and we have doubts about the following situation:
A player used Wandering Monster against me and then by agreement, teh same player who used used Wandering Monster agains me, helped me defeating his own monster. At this moment another player said that we were cheating.

So.. my question is... is this cheating? or is it legal?
