GURPS Character Assistant Updated to Version 5

I get that the exporters and sheets are not supported, but are the actual character supported?

Meaning, can I take a character I created, say a big-bad, and import that .gca file in with GCA 5 and it will work?

How about importing from a .xml?

Just looking for a format I can export from GCA 4 to GCA 5 without re-entering all the stuff again.
