Re: What do you want for the 35-year anniversary?
I don't really like the "how to" books, they may be very good and helpful, but they also make GURPS look extremely complex.
GURPS is very easy to get into and GM, I started GMing GURPS at the age of 13, after GMing D&D Basic (in Spanish) for a few months and I had to read the book with a dictionary at hand because I was not good in English at the time. Even then my group of friends all got hooked with the system and I found it a lot easier to grasp than D&D Basic as a GM.
The "how to" books, seems to me, are better for GM's that are already sold into the game and want the finer details or the most technical stuff; or just want to see if they improve their technique maybe, bot not new GM's.
