Thats pretty accurate. It was the Adventure time set, and I had a buffed Hitman monster. I rolled to run away, failed my roll and triggered Bad Stuff, IE, death. I then discarded the item to avoid death, gained a level, and claimed winning the game. Then he he said "Well I play X card" I don't recall the card, but text was, all bad stuff is avoided/negated. But I had given a chance to interfere, there was none, and played my card.
