On bribing someone for not interfering

Hello guys, I'm Carlo, I'm new to Munchkin and I absolutely love it!
Just a little clarification: me and my friends play by bribing the other players not to interfere in combat, or try to ask for bribes for the same reason.
Like: "if you don't want me to intervene and play this upgrade for the monster, I want 1 trasure".
Or: "if you play a card to help me [even when you are not the guy that fights with me], I'll give you 1 trasure".

Are these things legal?
