Variant rule inspired by the recent 'Woodsman' thread on the main TFT forum.
http://forums.sjgames.com/showthread.php?t=165987 At the GM's discretion, the required IQ for certain Talents can be lowered or eliminated during character creation in exchange for doubling or tripling the 'cost' in IQ points. For example, an IQ 8 hobgoblin survivalist could be allowed to spend 4 points to acquire Naturalist and 2 points for Woodsman (or maybe 3 points w/o the Naturalist prerequisite). Needs some work, obviously, but it seems like a fair tradeoff.
