And the suspect was decapitated post mortem, with two powerful blows after positioning the body right, about twenty seconds after the first shots hit him, and a few seconds after he was instantly killed with the archaic revolver ball from a distance of ten feet, while lying on his back.

You see, Lacoste was worried his soul was suffering and wanted to see if cutting off the head might release it.
