None at all, but apparently I haven't been making my point clear. I shall try again: It is precisely because of the Magic factor that I must reject any attempt to pretend that Cidri is scientifically plausible.

Because it's not. Because Magic.

Mind you, I don't particularly care whether anyone wants to claim that Cidri is a tremendous Dyson sphere powered by a captured singularity at its center, or maybe that it's a huge flat disc nestled in the branches of the World Tree with ocean-sized waterfalls running off the sides, or even that it's a giant bio-technological Space Beehive fueled by Handwavium. Why should I care? Whatever makes 'em happy.

But to paraphrase a proverb, just don't expel bodily fluids on me and then blame the precipitation. We're playing with Swords & Sorcery here, and Science wasn't even invited to the party. It's Magic, period. Science is clear across town, passed out in an alley and using a near-empty bottle of Everclear as a pillow.

No, I'm not going to say it, I'd only get banned. Never mind.

This isn't quite true. "Fragments of super-science" is right there in sentence two of the ItL Introduction.

Science and Super-Science are identical cousins...

For my own version of Cidri, I tried to embrace the dichotomy of the default 'sci-fi meets fantasy' premise found in ITL. In my game, there is a clear difference between Mnoren super-science (waning) and magic (waxing) at a meta-plot level, though admittedly, the average inhabitant of Cidri and most player characters will never see it.

As I have posted previously in this forum, I wanted to give Cidri itself a clear purpose beyond simply being the place where the characters live. This purpose, then, will drive key aspects of the campaign's narrative. The diversity of lifeforms, the nature of magic, the threat of demons and the undead, and the legacy of the Mnoren are all tied up in the 'intelligent design' of the artificial planetary construct known as Cidri.

At the end of the day, I couldn't agree more. Frankly, I think it's an enormous planet powered by fun, but that's just me! And if you get a little of your superscience in my magic, well, that's how Reece's Peanutbutter cups got created, wasn't it? So it's all good.

Cue silly accident and product jingle.
