Convenient Handles

From what the card says Convenient Handles go along with a big item. What happens if I want to sell or trade the big item?Do they follow the item?

If you sell the Item, the Handles are discarded (so you may as well sell them as part of the bargain). If you trade the Item, the Handles go with it.
