Probably perfectly ok for SJG to go ahead and publish 'Hymenopterans' .. but by the same token, they could not oppose its use by anyone else, anymore than the broad concept of 'bug-men'

over here, 'Digger' is generally used to refer to blokes who actually battled the Axis guys .. I am not worthy

and really were great mates with the pommy bastards, were just supposed to hate em cause of Cricket (which I dont follow)

Ive been to Cali, It strikes me that the deserty, often-on-fire landscape, animals, and the freedom-loving, sorta punk, socialist-leaning (Commiefornia lol) thought patterns of the people, are the closest thing to Australia out there (dont tell the Zealanders that lol)

do Hymenopterans myself you reckon .. hm .. is TFT going to have any equivalent to D+Ds open game licence? please say yes, I did invent quite a bit of new stuff for those fellas

nvm: just noticed the 'Book of Unlife' clearly there is some provision for 'open licence' type products .. gaming has needed this idea ever since Judges Guild publications (if anyone remembers those guys)
The Hymenopteran issue is...complex. That's probably the safest way to put it. And Steve decided not to open a potential can of worms for very little return on the investment. So, no Hymenopterans in the official book this time around. If you pick up a copy of the Adventures book, you'll find a very clever potential substitute for them in there, though...

As for the "OGL" kind of thing -- SJG definitely has plans for something like that (in fact, it was a stretch goal in the TFT Kickstarter), but I think it's still a ways off as they hash through the legal details with their lawyers. (Yeah, I know, but it's just safer that way.) And I'm a huge fan of JG -- have been since I first stumbled across Pegasus as a younker. Love me some Wilderlands and CSIO, etc...

We're not allowed to make even slightly political comments on here (I've already been banned once for making a joke that could be interpreted that way), so I can't really respond to your comments on here on that subject -- you can PM me if you want to chat in a bit less restricted fashion.

There is no release of The Fantasy Trip under the OGL and there was no stretch goal related to such. We did, however, announce that there will be a limited license to publish on Warehouse 23.

We do not want anyone to think that The Fantasy Trip is an OGL system and we certainly don't want to claim that such a release was a stretch goal. Additionally, the limited license was not a stretch goal.
