Selling and playing items while combat is stolen by Transferral potion

Hello. I have a question:

Player A fights with monster.
Player B plays Transferral potion and steals a combat. Now player B is in combat.
Can player A play items ans sell them while player B fights with monster in Player A's turn?

I’m going to rule no just to avoid confusion. Transferral Potion causes a lot of these timing problems.
