Campaign Cartographer Melee Map Template

I put together a Melee map template in Campaign Cartographer 3+, and I figured I'd post it here, in case anyone else wants to play with it.

I am new to graphical design tools. I have CC3+ and am hoping to use your map to run Death Test in BRPG.

While in CC3+, with the hex grid open and the Floors sheet and Hex/Legacy layer active, using the click and drag, I can only select exterior hexes. How can I select an individual interior hex to change its background color?

I'm at work right now and sadly don't have CC3+ on my work laptop (I know... I know.... My employers are savages! :) ). Until I get home and on my personal laptop, you can try to go into the Layers pop-up and freeze the layers BACKGROUND, BACKGROUND (FLOOR 1) and BACKGROUND (MAP). It sounds like you are most likely selecting both the polygon on Background (MAP) and the hex(es) on Hex/Legacy.

If you look at the PDF I uploaded, on page 2, there is the Layers pop-up with all the background and the HEX/MEGA layers frozen - for working on 'classic' hex mode, this is how I would set things up.

You can also just try to use the 'hide all' button when you have Hex/Legacy active, get everything set up the way you want, and then "show all" when done.

I'm not sure of your familiarity with CC3+, but if you're selecting multiple hexes and want to un-select them, you right click, use Combine, choose 'not' and then the hexes you want to un-select.

Thanks to malchidael. I was missing a step each time, with “do it”.

Here are the maps for the Death Test rooms based on malchidael's template. Note the Red and Green rooms contain no modifications from his template. These were done in Campaign Cartographer 3+.

Awesome! I've been using Campaign Cartographer since it first came out for DOS. It's a great tool, but the learning curve is steep and some of the steps are not obvious.

I really should do a Wizard map template....
