So, does it mean, that I can't anymore use Wandering Monster after the only monster in combat was authomatically killed (like Floating Nose after Potion of Halitosis)?

So, another question - can I play Lose-A-Level cards to prevent player's victory after authomatic monster killing?

Unless the card says it can prevent a win, no. You'd have to use them before or during the combat.
