"Life" meant current life or printed on card life?
Or there is no "current life" but only "life" and "damage"?

Life is the value printed on the Ally. Damage is added to an Ally when it takes it, and if the Damage is equal to or greater than the Life, the Ally is squished. The Life value isn't being changed by taking Damage.
