Can you sacrifice a Hireling while riding the Raptor steed?

Hello!

We were wondering about if you can sacrifice a Hireling to escape from combat while riding the Raptor steed, or if the Raptor ability means you still can't escape no matter what.

Good info in the link, Serleran, thanks for posting it. But I don't know that it answers the original question. If you're riding the Raptor AND you have a Hireling, can you choose between losing the Raptor or the Hireling if you want to avoid the Bad Stuff, or do you have to give up the Raptor?

The Raptor Steed doesn't let you Run Away at all, automatically or otherwise, so you would have to discard it first.
