I just bought this and it seems interesting, I think I am going with the idea that Islam has overtaken the older faiths and has more power. But the anunnaku are trying to make a comeback and are making alliances with some of the jinn and demons to try to regain power in the world.

It's also possible that the djinn and demons are servitors of the anunnakku transformed by the change from History B to History A, rather than having appeared out of nothing and nowhere.
