Kobal? as it is kind of a bad joke or Mammon, as they were driven by greed. Last edited by PenitentDemon; 12-13-2016 at 10:15 AM. |

Either of the above might work, along with Fleurity (you take the highs, you get the lows) and Kronos (How many are burned out because they've reached their soul's point of no return?).

thinking of a good idea for rites... its hard to "create" a burned out gambler, sadly... wait its not sad not sad at all, but makes it difficult to create a rite...
think spending time looking at their misery, is enough? Which do you think would hurt their word more for a formerly burned out gambler to suddenly win bigtime, enough to retire rich, or for them to get over their gambling addiction, and get a stable job. I think the real harm would be caused by someone who quits while they're slightly ahead, and then gets a stable job from there. |

I'd suggest introducing an Angel of Kintsugi into a setting like this. Elohite of Eli in service to either David or Marc.
Perhaps as a healer if the party does not have one of their own. |

I'd be amazed if there's nothing in canon about this. Bringing it back to topic, Japan and Korea are both nations where gambling is outlawed because it's considered a social problem. The difference is that in Japan they still have pachinko--technically a game of skill but in fact a glorified slot machine. I have personally seen a line of sad-looking men outside such places waiting for them to open.

oh another cool word with a problem?
"Frivolous lawsuits" in real life, their legal sanctions you can face, such as a legal inability to file lawsuits, without the permission of a judge or lawyer. ideas how a demon with the word can get around such annoying technicalities? new roles? anything else and does he need to spend the time launching a lawsuit however frivolous, just to recover some essence? |

He seems like a strong candidate for the "frying tonight!" treatment for Shedim. Beat the host unconscious, and them transport them to a powerful and well-known Heavenly tether within 30 minutes (In Nomine, p152). When they're expelled from the host body, they're in the Tether location, with a few angels in celestial form to keep them there. So they take 1d6 soul hits per round per Force of the Tether, owing to the Light of Heaven (Liber Castellorum, p51) and are rapidly destroyed.

Frankly, any Shedite that's doing its job properly is liable to get this treatment from any angels that can manage it. This one is harming its "clients" as well as the people they launch lawsuits against, and clogging up the legal system.
