Kind of related to this is that it's easy to wing quick NPCs at the table. Suddenly have a need for a weaver? Some schlemp with skill-12. Otherwise assume he has an attribute of 10, defaults from that.

Winging monsters, of course, is another matter entirely.

Breaking out of genre is easy. One thing I keep wanting to do is a conversion of Expedition to the Barrier Peaks. You could handle most of the high-tech stuff with the GURPS Basic Set, without having to write new rules for each and every little gadget.

Pathfinder also has this kind of stuff now with the Technology Guide (in fact I am running a science fantasy sword-and-blaster game currently), so that isn't a wholly GURPS thing. GURPS does it better though, with much more depth.

Does it begin with a 'B'?

If it's "Bestiary," that isn't DF-specific, and certainly not something that can be knocked off fast.

Things for which folks have asked:
  • Urban adventures
  • More monsters
  • More magic items (already one of the two PDFs)
  • Planes, especially Hell
  • In space
  • Pirates
  • Domains
  • Denizens Thieves

I expect it's an equivalent to Henchmen, allowing for lower value delvers.

That's my top guess, followed by: a setting, and adaptations of some of the other templates.

Well, now that DF19 is out, I would love to write a Dungeon Fantasy RPG equivalent of the Mystic Knight, together with some simplified imbuement system...

I'm pretty certain planes/'in space' DF is already contracted out/being written/etc, as the GURPS News has said Matt Riggsby is writing 'something otherworldly' for DF.

But yeah, I'd say 'lower-powered Delvers' is an excellent option.
