Typically, the more agile a vehicle is, the higher its Handling score. This number is useful for Vehicular Dodges... but I imagine they're more than that!
What if the Handling score ALSO affected your vehicular skill roll on docking[1] and parking, and on rolls for air vehicles carefully dropping off cargo? For the most part (especially with cars) there's barely a difference in Size Modifier and Handling, but a system of Handling-as-handleability would add some granularity. For instance, an agile, high-tech SM+5 VTOL could handle a landing on a normal helipad much better than an ordinary SM+5 Utility Helicopter. Parking is a mundane feature until the adventurers have to park the Mystery Van in a cave or pull their black Cadillac into an alley without scraping the sides and making a lot of noise. What do you think? --------------------- [1] Technically, large cargo ships don't often dock themselves, since they're nudged into place by tugboats, but parking |
