Pathfinder/Summoner abilities question

Just to be clear, the Pathfinder ability allows you to look at two cards from the top of the Door deck, then discard one and put the other back on the top of the Door deck. That discard does not count as a card discarded for using the Summoner ability, or any other ability that would require a discard, because that discard was part of using the Pathfinder ability.

The general rule is that you can't "double dip" on a card discard. I honestly can't think of an exception to that rule.
