As there are no power amounts given in UT, things that are not power sources cannot power other things, so you would need to use a separate power source.

If UT did have power levels you could have done things like use any excess power to power other things or to shut down some systems to gain power to recharge a power cell or such.

Of course a GM may rule otherwise as anything with power in UT is made deliberately vague forcing GMs to make judgements at every step instead of giving base rules to possibly modify.
