I searched for these and didn't come up with an answer so I hope this isn't doubling up a previous post.
1) Added the Clerical Errors expansion and played the game when one player drew an Orc. They already had a curse on them, I think Maligned Mirror. Does being an Orc now give them the ability to remove the curse and lose a level even though they had the curse as a human first? 2) Monsters Are Busy - Is this a proper interpretation: player battles a monster; battle immediately ends and player gets levels appropriate to the treasures the monster would have yielded; anyone who played a GUAL on the monster (to begin with? after the Busy card was played?) gets to draw two treasures for every card they played. GUAL, could I get some examples of a GUAL...is it something that makes the battle end with the monster no longer able/willing to fight or cards that diminish the monsters level? |

63 views and not one reply. Really? If this is the wrong forum for this topic then please at least say so.

Right now, I'm going to bed, but I can answer two of your three questions: a player who becomes an Orc cannot cancel a persistent Curse that is already in place, and a GUAL is a card that says "Go Up a Level" at the bottom in big type.

I, too, have been traveling, and yesterday was spent fruitlessly trying to setup a sound system that went belly up 90% of the way through the process. Needless to say, no one here is very happy about that. . .
You're in the right place, however, this is the Munchkin 101 forum, where people are asked to not answer questions with, "Well, I'm not 100% sure but my opinion is. . ." Lack of complete confidence in an answer could probably explain why people were reluctant to respond. |

In answer to your second question, you do not play "Go Up A Level" (GUAL) cards on Monsters. The rules make this statement in the Other Treasures section on page 3, "Go Up a Level cards may be played on yourself or any other player at any time, even during combat."
The way Monsters Are Busy works is this: Combat is effectively over. The player(s) in combat do not receive any rewards for defeating the Monsters because they will not fight. Any player willing to discard GUAL cards may then draw two face down Treasure cards. |
