Quick question

So I'm sill new to munchkin and last night someone played a gual card. At the top of the card it said invoke obscure rule. Does that mean you get to make up a rule we let him as we are all still new to the game just wondered for future games.

That is only "flavor text", just like the flavor text name of the card "Make the GM snort soda out his nose". It is like a storyline reason that your character goes up a level.

It's not entirely what I would call flavor text, it's the name of the card. The name of a card is almost never a rule or instruction on the card. I'm hard pressed to find one that is, at the moment. . .
