GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Monsters 2: Icky Goo

I needed cheering up today, and I tell you just the name of this one puts a smile on my face.

But now I get to read it, take notes, and cackle at my DF players. What fun!

This book is a delight. I love the GURPS monsters cuz real thought and use cases are put into the monsters. You don't get a paragraph of description, you get a nice "Why this monster!"

What about being an amorphous blob are you wanting to represent with Morph?

I'd be more likely to use Modular Abilities for 'can form various functional appendages', and of course IT:Homogeneous or Diffuse.

I am sorely disappointed at the lack of a Gelatinous Icosahedron — but the rest of this book more than makes up for it!

I'd had vague intentions of throwing some sort of magical mold into the Flameblade, stop reading my forum posts for hints! that my players will be dealing with — now when they cross that bridge, it'll be straight into a mold-covered pile of slimes, oozes, and puddings!

Take a SM +3 Jelly (p. 7) and state it's an Icosahedron in shape. Done.

Meh. As if most people would even notice it's an abomination to geometry...

What the world needs now (said with tongue firmly in cheek) is a Half-Goo group of templates, much like we have the Half-Spirit templates.
Oh, and an occupational template for a specialist Druid-y type that deals only in Goos. Less a Summoner, more a sort of subterranean gardener/breeder.
Obviously there would be a Goo College filled with Secret Spells for identifying, seeking, creating, and controlling Goo, along with Goo-like attacks ("Slime Jet", "Spore Breath", "Rain of Slime"), utilities ("Slippery Slimeskin", "Goosight") and Body of Goo.
I can think of a few good candidates for Death Spells for this college. "Slimelungs". "Goo From Within".
