Maybe you're right... perhaps use a more linear progression rather than the exponential one. Something like x2/x4/x8/x12/x16/x20/etc.?

That way ten systems will result in x36 dHP instead of x1024; that 15 dHP ship would have 540 dHP instead of 15,360 dHP.

I actually didn't realize the current bonus was so high. That does seem like a bit much. Is there any way to change that in the spreadsheet?

Mainly because I didn't/don't want the first few levels to be as effective as later ones, represented directly by requiring that all sections of the ship have Structural Reinforcement installed (via installing 3 systems). I could have, but never did, write in an error indicator to keep track that requirement.

Broken record time again. How's the update for open office coming along? I actually have excel but I just prefer the way the program runs on open office.
I no longer have excel available to me (long story) so back to waiting for the Open Office update. Last edited by davester65; 07-29-2015 at 07:30 PM. Reason: cuz' |

Hey Eric!
Still loving this spreadsheet, it blows my mind how great this really is. The custom modules are magnificent. Buuuuut any chance for custom weapons in a similar way? I know this was mentioned a while ago, wondering if this was still on the table? Cheers, thanks! |

If you're using the Excel version of the sheet you can add new Beam Weapons in the Campaign Options tab, just scroll right a bit and there's an area to enter them. If you're using OpenOffice you'll have to wait for the next release (sorry, no ETA, I just haven't been working on the sheet in a while).

For some reason the TL9 Fusion Rocket (SS1 p.23) doesn't pop up when I have your spreadsheet set to TL9, but it does when it's set to TL10. If I choose it at TL10 and then change back to TL9 it gets highlighted in black and says there is an error. I haven't changed any configuration settings. Is this correct behavior, for some reason that I'm not understanding?
I'm running LibreOffice, if that makes any difference. |
