Ok. The player with the hafling is selling one item at double price, say a 800 gp item, which then becomes 1600 gp. Now the player also puts down another item worth 600 gp, wanting to get two levels out of both items. I disputed, thinking that the item being doubled in price isn't to be counted in one sell for two levels, but because it was specially priced it had to be considered a sell all to itself.
Which is the correct line of thinking here? |

Your friend is correct. You may sell any number of Items and may choose one of them to double. However, you cannot use that ability again if you sell a second time (for instance, once at the start of your turn and once after killing a monster and getting its Treasure).
