But they also wanted to instill their erzatz "bushido" ethic along with "good wife, wise mother" and ban Western cultural influences. The Germans were schizophrenic in their ideology but did extol the idea of a return to the land with most of the population consisting of hardy racially pure farm boys farming the new land that Germany was to acquire with women concentrating on giving birth and raising children.

David Johnston2 has it right. The Utopian future of the Nazis, Japanese Militarists, Fascists, et al, was a fantasy of the past. The same fantasy grocery stores sell when they speak of "Farm Fresh" anything, and "Home Cooked Goodness." The Communists sold a Utopian future of technocratic wonders, just like a car comercial.
