For unsupported, crippling requires a critical failure. Very Fit gives +5 vs. crippling which requires a 17/18 for a 1 in 58 chance. To get anything more than a temporary crippling requires a further critical failure rolling a pure 18. That's a 1/216 times 1/216 for a 1 in 46656 trivial chance.
If those aren't nuisance rolls, then I don't know what are. But I fully agree my suggestions were only loosely connected to OP's question. I read the title in common English rather than specific Gurps speak. I shall hang my head in gamer shame for such an egregious error.

Very Fit would give +2 to the health roll... Where are you getting +5? |

Seriously, I rarely make this many typos when tired. (+5 to all rolls regarding crippling. It wouldn't affect the initial Unsupported roll to get some form of crippling. But as that requires a critical failure, and with a HT of 12+, that is a very unlikely 17/18. But it would affect the roll to determine what type it was; temporary, lasting, or permanent. Anything but an 18 critical failure again would result in a minor temporary crippling.)
