Siily Bard question

When I am a Bard,can I ask for help in a battle without using my special ability (as if I didn't have the Bard Class)? I guess yes, but I want to be sure.. :)

Nothing on the Bard card specifically excludes you from normal combat behavior, so you can, of course, ask for help normally.
