After the debriefing is finished she'll see about having Mr. Murzchen or somebody join her for talking with Charming to see about a meeting with Yokoba and let him know about getting dropped off on a Q7 world on pain of being hunted down by a large institution capable of getting them off Yrth in the first place.

After that she'll mention hearing something about flying cars to Mr. Stuart. That seems worth experiencing. Maybe see if there's anything else. Talk to some of the people that have been here a bit. Kazbul and his colleagues. One to socialize two to see what else would be fun to do.

Charming is quite willing to be dropped off on a world of their choosing:

"That's an acceptable part of the deal: I'd rather have a world where the authorities don't know exactly who I am."

The deal with Yokaba is a little more shaky -- Charming will have to go approach Yokaba first (and she appears to live 1,000 miles away), and from what Murzchen is getting at, They won't be moving her until after she fulfills her part of the deal, and either gets them the mages they need or a substantial amount of wealth and inside contacts -- the two dragons would certainly leave on different trips. Terza isn't sure how much money is being thrown around -- she's very heard the word 'Talent' used as a measure of money in a context where money is actually going to change hands -- but she's pretty sure 12 thousand talents is a lot of money*.

Charming brings up the issue of "Transparency" again: demanding to be kept in on the loop of tereza's movements off worlds. Murzchen doesn't really have a problem with it -- "And if you feel really bored, you can help us out with our missions. We've made the deal already, and I can promise you if you try to renegotiate we'll just find another way, even if its hunting you down and shooting you. Assuming, of course, that Ms. Jelnick has no problem with it? Or would you prefer to stay out of contact with Charming as much as possible?"

Mr Stuart: "Flying cars? isn't that what you call an airplane ...."

The experience of a flying car is nothing like that of an airplane. They are able to find a stunt pilot who will take them on a flying car ride. Tereza has never been in a stunt plane, but surely even they couldn't take turns this steep. The connection with the craft is impressive: the vehicle is tiny, and seems to be all propellers, flaps, seating, and antenna. Tereza greatly enjoys the experience. Mr. Stuart bankrolls the trip, and though some of the others come along, tereza and Aurthur are in the same vehicle and she gets the impression the pilot thinks they're on some sort of date.

After the trip, they are eating at one of the quirkier local resturants, when tereza spots the woman she keeps running into on this world. The woman is eating alone, and seems to be watching them -- or rather the infinity people who work on this world normally.

*12M$ -- but its gurps dollars in a medieval context, so they go even further.

"Considering how secretive infinity are off homeline I very much doubt they'd inform any local authorities to your presence. Though I'm sure we'll try and keep track off you."

Tereza doesn't have much to add to the conversation with Yokaba, mostly just asking as a go between.

"I would like to stay out of contact as much as reasonably possible. But it isn't that big a thing to let him know so long as he's prompt. I'll give you a few minutes to tune in and hear where I'm moving but I ain't going to wait around all day to let you know.

I'm not entirely sure what the flying cars here are like exactly but I don't think they're going to be much like a plane. An airplane is more akin to either an 18 wheeler or a bus depending on if it's more meant to carry a lot of people or just freight."

'Ha! I knew I'd run into her again. Know if only I could think of a good way to let her know. Maybe I can find a public phone and an excuse to be alone with it for a few minutes. Stupid clandestine stuff. ' That thought Tereza does her best not to stare at the lady and plots on how to leave an anonymous message as "streaker" on the Zizkov Building Thieves case. She'll also hope really really hard that if she's successful that it doesn't come back and bite her on the butt later but fully expects it to. If she manages it she'll try and keep the message short and simple. Something like, "listen carefully because I'm only saying this once, the lady investigating the Zizkov Building Thieves case is on the right track. I saw her tailing some of the right people just now at (wherever we are.) Hope that helps. Debts payed now I think."

Charming (and also Mr. Stuart, who was hoping for a break) looks a little disappointed that the shield will be up most of the time, but agrees to it readily enough.

Tereza tries to keep herself steady, but finds herself looking at the woman one too many times*. Mr. Stuart leans forward "Is something bothering you miss? you seem really nervous."

*given her profession, she really needs to put more points in acting.

what luckily happened instead:

Tereza isn't sure how, but she manages to keep her cool and instead focus on finding a telephone both. She asks to be excused to go to the powder room. Stuart asks if he needs to come with her to keep the anti-charming field on, and she says no.

She leaves the message quite simply at a phone booth in a corner, giving the time and place, and hanging up before they can ask anything else.

Charming: "Wow, you're going through with your promise. Playing both sides eh? I'm torn about which side to root for."

"I try to keep my word. You should be glad of that. At worst I'm a little sad I got out of range of Excalibur. Now to the rest room and back," says Tereza in a whisper.

When she gets back from the rest room she'll just try to pass the time normally.

Charming does his best to chat amiably with Tereza the entire time. finally, she gets back into range of Excalibur.

The rest of the day is spent enjoyably, and without Charming. That evening is spent in a mild social setting. Many of the folks are drinking just a little alcohol -- someone found some weird 'techno-wine'. Checking the exchange rate for her money, she finds that homeline dollars go a long ways -- that world is rich. Mr. Stuart turns in for bed -- proper bed. And Charming is around for the night.

Charming wants to talk essentially non-stop. And seems quite bored. He asks her about her life, begs for a story, and offers to swap stories. He seems to have forgotten any conflict between them.

Tereza does her best to ignore him while away from Mr. Stuart.

After Mr. Stuart has gone to bed and Charming is pestering her she'll tell him, "Charming please just leave me alone. You had a chance to be my friend. Heck you already were what with getting me a doctor and all. Then you ruined it. I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you had asked to put this connection on me that you put on me I would of said yes. You didn't. You claimed ownership over me instead and placed it like a brand. Be happy you're getting off Yrth and all it costs you is leaving me alone. I'm the one paying for your trip so you leave me alone. I HATE you as much as I have ever hated anyone. I don't hate easily. Now please just let me sleep. Don't try to act the friend to me."

Charming: "I'm not trying to act like your friend. I'm trying to pass the time. And as you're going to hate me regardless of what I do, I see no reason to stop. You could steer the conversation if you want to ..."

[Poonbahbah]

"Right. Your not trying to act like a friend. You're acting like a bored little sister that one can't get rid of. My mistake." And so Tereza turns on the radio*, goes back to ignoring Charming, & trying to sleep.
