Gurps hammer job table

Hey

New to the forum, and kinda new to GURPS.

We are going to play a game tomorrow, and we just rolled the characters using the rules gurpshammer 2.0 rules

There is a job table in there, and i don't know what many critical failures mean, like: 4d,C and -1i

Anyone know what these stand for?

4d is 4d6 of damage to the character. C is a crippling injury. -1i is "loose a month's income."

Those are standard abbreviations for a GURPS 3e job table, so you'll probably find a copy of the 3e Basic Set useful in more ways than this. It's available here.

Looks like this was derived from the 3e Job Tables.
slash indicates a results that only occurs on a natural 18:
1d / LJ = 1d damage or (if roll was natural 18) Lose Job
-1i / 2d = lose 1 month's income or (if roll was natural 18) 2d damage

I'm not sure about the C, that's present on the 3e Job Table too, but unexplained. I checked a couple other 3e Job Tables (Rome, Swashbucklers) but no love.

Ahh Thanks, makes sence ! .. Don't have any of the 3rd books sadly.
One more question for the table. Some of the rolls are R&B ? What does that mean ?

Haven't a clue. That term isn't in the 3e Basic Set.

I would suspect it means,"Room and Board", i.e., it doesn't get you any money, but you on't have to pay for lodging that month.
