Default Transferral Potion

If I decide to transfer my monster(s) to someone else during my turn, does that person have to beat the monster(s)? If they don't beat it, does the bad stuff happen to them?

Yes. That's one of the reasons to transfer the combat to a different player.

Does "any other player" refer to any player other than the original combatant? I.e. can one transfer someone else's fight to oneself?

Yes, one can.

FWIW this was my interpretation, but argued about by others.

I'd suggest different wording. (Eg: "any player other than the original combatant".)

For that matter, what happens if you drop "other" and "transfer" it to the same player?

What if it's transferred twice — can the second transfer bring it back to the original person?

Can it be transferred to the helper? If so, does the original person have to help their ex helper?

What happens if you transfer during fight where stuff has already happened - eg mates, doppelgangers, enhancers, buffs for either side, wandering monster, allured help, etc? What comes with it, what stays with the original combatant, what's discarded as moot?

Then you're diving into "House Rules" territory ;)

If, for example, you get the Transferral Potion back using something like Wand of Dowsing you could transfer the combat back to the original player who had it.

Monster enhancers, Mate, etc. all go with the monster(s). I'm not sure if stuff that helps the Munchkin side transfers or not, but I'm inclined to say "not."
