A hook is fundamentally a variation on the basic chassis of another sword. "A sword with a hook on it" isn't a thing, you can't conclude stuff like what length it is from that. This is also true of hook swords, they really should have been a modification of a sword with a note of what sword was historically the basis. It's better to start with another sword to give you non-hook damage, reach, parry, cost, weight, ST stat and other features and then modify it with the kind of hook being used (are you converting the end like a hook sword, putting a hook 6 inches down etc) than to either pretend all swords will end up being the same in those respects if you add a hook or add a set of modifiers to recapture those variations.
