How many Monsters can you play to look for trouble?

You can play one, and only one, Monster to look for trouble, but, that doesn't mean you can't add Monsters, legally, once you've played that Monster.

Also, I moved this question to its own thread. We ask that people not add new questions to a thread since the title and the information contained won't match, which hinders people in their attempts at searching.
