That's too vague a statement to remind me of anything in particular. Can you narrow down what was said, when, etc.?

Something about a limitation that restricted use of Ritual Path Magery to circumstances where you were in your lab using tools and consumables that were part of a lab. Although upon further reflection, it may have had something to do with Weird Science as a power.

I think you're thinking of "The Power of Weird Science," an article by Dr. Kromm in Pyramid #3/46: Weird Science.

I might be, but I checked that article out and didn't find any direct reference to a limitation on magery or power talent. Maybe I'm imagining it.
